I live in Maitland NSW and I haven’t seen a bee in decades.
Back in the 80s the bees were everywhere.
@@7purse there was a massive bee cull about a year and a half ago for hundreds of KMs around port of Newcastle.
They poisoned all the wild hives and destroyed every beekeepers hive in the area trying to stop verroa mite.
This is in your area.
That’s probably why you haven’t seen bees for a while.
*correction misquote. Ideal bee cavity is about 42L which is roughly the size of a brood box
