Can these be used in coco coir or soil?
I have not tried yet, it may float too much.
I’ve been growing microgreens for years…in bamboo paper towels, as I’ve made abundantly clear in the past. 😅 There is no way you, or a small family is eating all those. So, what do you do with the excess? How do we sell it? That would really be helpful., because Im’m sick of giving a ton away…
There is actually only a few pounds there…not tons 😂
When you cut them do they grow back? Or is it one and done?
@@jeanninemcwhorter919 Most are once and replant
You can always regrow and feed them to the chickens or the animals you have that would eat that kind of food more greens for your money
I would be looking for ways to make use of the stems and roots, if I only eat the tops. I have quail and ducks and chickens and rabbits. I’m sure there would be a few takers
Mike after watching this video I was thinking…. could you not use a dogs self watering dog bowl. The one with the bottles on top
You can try
I am thinking of the 2 liter bottle off center of the bowl. Absolutely! And I bet the thrift store has a few looking for new homes. They would be perfect for a crop you wanted to grow out further, or had a longer grow time, such as herbs, etc. Great idea 💡😊
Thanks Mike.
When might you be delivering to Canada?
Trying to find someone up there to print them. Shipping would be over $20 for one.
@@KeepOnGrowin I hope you find someone soon. I would love to have some of these. Thank you!
Excellent ideas
So the nutrients come from the water not the clay?
It comes from the seed initially. Add nutrients to the water for baby greens. The clay pebbles are just an inert material for the plants and roots to hold onto.
Really cool. My microgreens grow without any watering system. But of course you have to water them then once ever day or at least once every other day. Still an amazing idea.
Is that 3D-printed?
EDIT: Scrap that question, of course they are. This is exactly the cool kind of things people should create with this amazing technology!
Love is send from a fellow microgreen enthusiast over in Germany.
