very nice
Love it dude! Leaky pond in all. We have one of those at our place in TN. You are doing all the pretty stuff now, got of say I’m a little jealous. We need our “Elderberry Park” to get done asap! Haha.
Curtis’s Heaven. Zen out Curtis!!
Love it!
Oh wow, that’s incredible. 👏
Very nice! Impressive.
Is getter better and better, really good. As a pro landscaper…congrats!
Sorry to say TJI Joists are not intended for outdoor use. They won’t hold up to getting wet…30 year General Contractor/Builder. Either way thank you sooooo much for all your content!!
They’re perfect. We sealed them. It’s a dry climate here.
Good work man!
Very nice. Your park needs some perennial flowers and herbs.
Mosquito control is helped along by birds (bird house installations) and dragon flies (eat the mosquito nymphs). I don’t know if you get dragon flies at your elevation. Interesting trick with the sprinkler though.
Very cool, thanks for sharing this awesome project.
Beautiful and peaceful, great job Curtis. Thks for sharing.
Curtis, don’t get mad before you build the sauna you “might” want to do something different than using the logs to keep the deck elevated. The logs will rot and at some future time your deck might fall with people on it or in the sauna or in the pond or any combination.
Looks awesome brother
No comment on the deck other than to say it looks nice. But I think it’s great to highlight the aspects of a homestead, other than producing, that enhance the quality of life. A lot of work went into clearing that space and it looks like a great place to chill.
I’d build the sauna right next to the deck.. and not ON” the deck. It’s nice having all that deck space. You could even put your sauna down on the ground level, to where you step off the deck and down into the sauna.. or whatever. Just don’t put it on the deck itself.. I think it will make it cluttered or cramped, rather. That deck looks awesome how it is.
Pretty crazy.. I would never think to do this, but after seeing your results- I’m sold on the idea.
We had a raw pond not far from my grandma’s house.. and it was completely surrounded by black berry bushes.. A few years in a row, we all took 2 five gallon buckets each and filled them up.. brought them all home and froze them in sandwich bags.. So anytime you wanted a snack, you could just grab a bag of blackberries and toss them into a bowl and let them thaw a little.. maybe sprinkle a bit of sugar on them if you wanted. Addictively good
Looks great Curtis .. love the area around the pond! 🙂
Just love your creativity of Elderberry Park. Inspiring and much to think about.
