Oh Rob it’s you haha! I followed your aquaponics for last 4 yrs. You’ve moved! Double Geeze!

  • @thecurriest says:

The power of a Bianca pep talk is palpable! Love learning more about the farm and all the work it takes to be good stewards.

  • @mini696 says:

I love how council tell you to get it under control, yet they constantly fail to meet their own obligations under the biosecurities act. Especially lantana.

  • @mini696 says:

I love you are showing the reality. It makes my adventures seem realistic. I feel you.

  • @bjaminf113 says:

Rob, thanks for bringing us along your journey!!

  • @nicolaiitchenko7610 says:

Love ALL the updates when they arrive whatever the content.
Setting up a farm is ALWAYS interesting and when y’all eventually get back into setting up the aquaponics systems I will be just as interested as I have been for ten years or more now…
    Great video
    Thank you

  • @Briansunday-zw8wb says:

You guys are doing well….I love the content and can feel your pasion for the farm.

  • @hustleandbruchlethehypothe924 says:

I’m at 14months since I packed my aquaponics and hydroponics down to sell up. It’ll be another 3 before I can get set up again.
Don’t stress, you’ve got a massive catalogue of aquaponic videos people can rewatch while we get to watch the real life aspect of buying farmland in real time

A metal brush cutting head might help with the clearing, they’re useless on low powered line trimmers though you need the speed and power to cut grass like that
Maybe try tagging old aquaponic videos pointing out where you want to set up if people keep being inpatient but im happy to keep watching 😅

  • @craftyviking says:

When it rains it pours is a saying. Take your time and I am so happy to see B talk some sense into you Rob. Accepting help does not make you weak in any way. I am also mighty impressed with the amount of weedwacking, I just did my dog yard and that was more than enough

  • @lmfarms4611 says:

Thank you, Aquaponics is about learning and growing. When you purchases a property it takes time to get everything under control. Always love this channel, keep up the great work.

  • @nobitsapothecary says:

Slow and steady wins the race! I applaud your regenerative approach- building healthy soil is always the key. Keep at it.

And no shame in letting all if us contribute financially to the process. Lots of us WANT to help.

  • @scottsimpson1565 says:

For the past 11 years I’ve watched your channel and you’ve been a huge inspiration.
It’s sad that people are complaining about no aquaponics. Maybe you can do more interviews on others systems like you did with Owen’s & Terry’s. These episodes were great to see and you didn’t have to build anything to make the content. I’m sure there’s heaps of people in driving distance that would show there setups.
    Just an idea.
    Cheers mate.

Please don’t be too hard on yourself Rob! Everyone needs help from time to time. I get it, I hate having to ask or letting people do for me. But my health has had me laid up for a few years now, and I’ve HAD to let people do “my jobs”. Mate, I can’t even cook myself a meal, even soup from a can. And I used to feed a ravenous growing family of 5 by making 95% of what we ate from scratch. I know how hard letting someone else step in is. But you don’t want to burn yourself out! So, good on Bianca for taking control. Like minded folk, help each other, it’s part of our thing. In an ideal world, if every subscriber sent you just $1 AUD, think of what you’d have. Sadly, not many people will do this, but I’ll be looking out for the gofundme and give what I can. ❤

You guys are living my childhood, just in a slightly tamer place. 😂 It’s hard, things go wrong and unplanned. It’s not your fault. Just think of the benefits that come with it. Think of those glorious night sounds of frogs and bugs. The smell of the bush as the day heats up. The night sky with more stars than darkness. They make it worth it. And I miss them daily. 😊

My dad worked 12 hour days all week, and spent most weekends pushing his slasher(he had a giant push slasher not tractor) around the fire breaks and yards, whippersnipping, etc in the tropical heat. Like you, non stop till done. Didn’t want help, didn’t want it done for him. But we helped anyway. It’s what decent folk do. ❤ Have a good one, and don’t feel obliged to reply. You’re busy, I’m good without a chat. – Janis.

  • @timothyalanogrady says:

Good day mate’s glad to see you guys are getting the farm up and going . And i believe once you guys get the farm running and being self-sufficient. You can get the aquaponics up back and running. . Hope all is well with the family. Have a blessed week

  • @tairis4635 says:

People who are complaining about lack of content have no clue what it takes to get a new farm up and running. We have been doing similar for years and although we’re making progress, nothing ever seems to happen as quickly as we would expect. Something else always seems to come up demanding more time (and usually money). “Quick remodels” seem to never happen, and changing the landscape such as conditions of the soil to support what you want it to grow, doesn’t happen overnight. Ignore the Negative Nellies and just keep doing what you’re doing! Those of us who have (and are still) traveled this similar path understand and empathize. We appreciate all you’re doing and share in your pain and successes!

  • @plecebo says:

My wife and I love your content Rob and Bianca! We look forward to weekend coffee catching up on the latest updates in your adventure. We came for the aquaponics years ago, but stayed for the people. Bumps in the plan are part of the process. Thanks for sharing the things that went to plan and things that haven’t, that’s the reality.

  • @matthewsabin says:

Thanks for sharing a slice of your life as it actually occurs – nice to hear how it all goes

  • @mitchmeizer says:

Always happy to help out Rob !! A problem shared is a problem halved. Happy to hire a dingo in town and come out and do whatever will help.

  • @erichansen5503 says:

We have had our place 5 yrs and still havent competed all the projects that need to be done. Farming projects are never done, always more to do! Keep up the hard work it’s worth it!
