I’m crossing my fingers for you❤
I dont have the best luck with carrots.
I know some is due to spacing out the seedlings and thinning but i seem to only have luck with the ones called little finger mini carrots. Even when i get them spaced decently it seems like only every 5th carrot turns into a nice carrot. I get lovely tops with no roots. Lol
But when i try parsnips i get quite a few.
I’ve tried in big buckets and in the ground.
A friend told me to try a lighter soil mix. I might. Or to try one called oxheart or Thumbilina. Which are squat round ones.
I might just stick to what grows well for me. Good thing my family love pole beans lol 😂
Oooo nice garden. ❤️👍 That took some real effort. I thought hydroponics was growing in hydro. You know …water.
Hydroponics is the growing of plants in nutrient solutions with or without an inert medium. So, Hydroponics is growing is water but in a Bato bucket system when growing vine crops or strawberries it can also be hydroponic if the growing medium does not contain any nutrients and the plants are grown with a nutrient solution. The growing medium is natural and can be coconut coir, perlite, vermiculite, peat etc… Watch my other videos to learn about hydroponics.
In my Deep barrel carrots I use 50/50 Rice hulls and Cocopeat which are both nearly FREE here in the Philippines. I never had good success growing carrots UNTIL I started the Deep Barrell system.
