Happy Hydroponicing!
We need three videos every week! 😅
Between this channel and my other channel that’s pretty much the rate of upload 😂
Much love from lebanon brother 😂👌🏼
A variety of spacer modules depending on the plant size would be great too. other 3dp towers have done it
Nice work can’t wait to try it!
Some suggestion:
– mounts for lights
– halo / mounts for supporting larger plants like determinate tomatoes that need strapping or support to grow in a tower like this
– different density levels eg 2, 4, 6, 8
– caps/lids for unused spots
– removable hooks to hold in rockwool or coir pellets
– inspection hatch to check ec and ph?
– mount for the large ikea DAMMÄNG bin – 27L – because it’s pretty! Was thinking maybe an oval shape to connect to the bin that morphs into the round shape for the tower? It has a built in inspection hatch in the bin lid!
– hardest part of these towers is being able to take off the lid and tower to maintain pump or reset nutrients when loaded with plants, any way you could solve this cleverly?
– printed hinged flap for side inspection or lid inspection on bigger bucket?
Thanks for this!
Looks like im gunna be busy hhahaha
@ just a wish list…take your time…sooo next week?
@ 🤣😂😂 probably hahaha
Can you put the water inlet at the top. Then the water on the tower reservior flows back to your main reservior
Yeah that is when you want to setup a series of towers, all having the same crops demanding consistent EC, pH.
This is awesome mate, thank you. I started hydroponics because of you.
Exellent work! All I could ask for is an integrated failsafe pump backup and water temperature management.
I can’t wait for US multibuckets! I am thinking about buying my own printer at this point lol
Hey dude thats awesome. Thank you for designing them. Just a thought. What if you added a thread on the base and a hole in the lid that allows a threaded rod with a wing nut on top. Essentially clamp the parts together. Or even a a couple of pins and slots in the printed parts that lock them together and to stop the lid floating.
Can you share a link to the cheap PETG (Aussie)? Also, do you print with 2 or 3 perimeters?
Sunlu store on ebay using ebay plus codes. I use the default bambu settings which I beleive is 2 perimeters
I 3D printed a tower pretty much like this 2 years ago and have grown a lot of leafy greens in it (strawberries as well) even a cucumber vine once. It has been going 2 years nonstop and still works great!
Some sort of twist locking mechanism on the top lid design could help prevent risk of the water pushing it off.
To anyone considering running the 35L res for this without the float valve refill, don’t. In summer and peak production these vertical gardens can plow 30L in a day. 60L+ would be recommended if you want the standalone res. Coming home to your system running dry is not fun, I don’t recommend it.
@@grantderepas6234 fully agree, just experienced this…dead. It’s all dead.
I have 3 60ltr res interconnected, adjusted pump run on solar, it needed topping up every 3 days.
I’ll be printing this very soon! thank you hoocho! people must think I’m crazy, how often I talk about hydroponics, you, and gardening in general! lol!
It’s not us that is crazy… It’s them.
this is great news
I’m going to download and give it a shot with Petg. I have two towers I’ve printed but I look forward to this one.
Happy to see the BEES taking some much deserved break, lol.
Hey mate i still think the tower is a bargain including postage. Sub $200 for a full setup with pump and everthing, delivered. What a bargain still.
Also I’ve designed some Net Cups for the injection molded one that I posted on reddit a few weeks ago, they seem to go great! Will be purchasing another tower soon as well as a big Res.
love ya work
Agree, I reckon all Hydroland gear is priced really affordable. Haven’t bought anything there yet, but tempted by this injection molded tower.
I would like to see a trellis add-on, similar to the one available on the American Green Stalk that is not available here in Australia.
DUUUDE! I love your channel and hidroponics, would you mind exploring hidroponics for apartments? like a wall mounted system and scalable? maybe something with hexagonal shapes and every hexagon is a plant holder and making the water trickle down
Modified 2 sections – (optional use) – Grow section with stake-down lugs – Dispersor with stake-down lugs(loop); thus, you can tent peg down the tower.
This is a wonderful initiative and project! thank you
it’s a few cm too big for my Prusa Mini unfortunately. If future parts could be made to fit inside an 18x18x18 print volume I think it could be useful for a lot of people (myself first!)
