The price on these are absurd…
You can make your own extremely easy. But people are just disgustingly lazy.
Take a over decade just to recoup the money spent. By then the tower is trashed 😂
I want to orders some, how is?? Please help🙏🏻
If you put in what it cost to buy that same amount of produce for a year, the unit pays for itself in 6 months. It’s actually genius if you’re a person who likes growing their own food.
@Dagny And you don’t have to worry about purchasing produce that might possibly be Salmonella contaminated! Also, you can get your produce when you instantly need it. Love mine!! And yes my electric bill did increase some.
Aeroponics uses either low or high pressure “mister nozzles” which spray a nutrient rich solution onto the roots. This would be a form of hydroponics.
False. Hydroponics is when the roots are constantly submerged in water. The roots in this method are not submerged so it’s called aeroponics.
@ExtremeRealming Aeroponics demands the use of misters which this setup does not utilize. All you have here is a gravity fed system once the solution reaches the top of the tower. The roots are partially submerged in this way and therefore the system cannot be aeroponic, literally by definition. In regard to hydroponics, of which aeroponics are again, by definition, apart; I’d suggest you read up on the topic before trying to correct people. Just like there is more than one method of cultivation with aeroponics, there are several different methods of hydroponics some of which include “Ebb and flow”, “top-feed slabs”, “vertical top-feed systems” and “nutrient film technique (NFT)”. All of which DON’T fully submerge the roots.
@Gandalf TheGrey “In hydroponics, the plant roots are directly suspended in water/nutrient solution – either at all times (such as with deep water culture) or periodically (such as with ebb and flow).”
“However, in aeroponics, roots are suspended in air at all times – which is where the system gets its name.”
In this system the roots are NEVER submerged in water and are ALWAYS suspended in the air. This is why this system is Aeroponics.
Where are you getting these quotes? 😂 I don’t know what else to say except that aeroponics uses pressurized misters (low or high) to apply nutrient solution and introduce oxygen to the root system. This setup doesn’t use misters and therefore isn’t aeroponic. NASA developed this method of growing originally and clearly defined it. I think you’re lost here and out of your element.
@@gandalfthegrey2535 this system uses what they’re calling a “showerhead”. It’s drizzles water over the roots from the top of the unit. That’s not aeroponic?
They work amazing. They also have an outdoor one .
How much electricity a month does this use?
LED is cheap- & you would not run it all day.
@@jillellis62what about the pump.
I’m going to do this. The price is worth it in the long run. No weeding worries or snakes and other wildlife can get to my veggies. Perfect for me.
You can build your own if you’re interested for a fraction. But either way.
Don’t worry my guy no snake is going to eat your veggies 😂
But I had also like to be able to try and grow year-round so if I had to build a greenhouse with some heat for the winter time I would still love to grow year-round any ideas or suggestions
At those prices you better be getting TOP DOLLAR for everything you grow for the next few years.
how much?
Fantastic 😮😮
Chemically grown, and nutrionally deficient.
I have a solar powered pump and some home Depot buckets, I wonder if I could just make an outdoor version of this on the cheap because these things are silly expensive.
Use PVC pipes with elbow
Use pipes and cut opening for the plants
@nomusa dubazana
I hear ya, I just need to look at more of these things and come up with a design
If any of you make this successfully, I beg of you to please 🙏 share with me.
How expensive are they?
I am on my very first indoor grow, in soil.
They’re habaneros and moonflower (white morning glory).
It’s interesting seeing the different methods. Is this easily done, without spending tons of money?
Cant help think about the chemicals leaching into the water that feed the plants. All plastic leaches something. Stainless steel or glass is all I will ever use.
What does natural mean? How does the plastic tower not leach into the plants? The lights heat the plastic
Our soluble ionic mineral nutrient solution features the purest minerals and trace elements including nitrogen, calcium, chelated iron, phosphate, sulfur, soluble potash, magnesium, boron, copper, manganese, molybdenum, zinc, and many other micronutrients and trace elements. These aeroponic towers are made from the safest high-end UV-stabilized, BPA-free, food-grade proprietary plastic formula. The high-quality resins used in these aeroponic towers are compliant with both U.S. Food and Drug Administration guidelines for food contact and European guidelines for Restriction of Hazardous Substances.
Is this really helping to save money on vegetables after buying nutrients and seeing the electric bill ? Or just better nutrition?
SURE WISH I COULD AFFORD THESE! ☹️
Why? How much are they?
@@ana419one like this with the lights is at least $500.
You certainly could afford to build one, if you consider the savings you can’t really afford not to get one, it’s just not in your budget as an immediate purchase.
Buy a 3D printer for a fraction of the price, print your own parts, buy a way cheaper pump, seeds and rock wool. 1400 tower garden vs 3d printer 🤔. When happy print more and sell your own tower gardens….
Can build this for under $200 with lights and 5 gallon buckets .
Love this video and this concept where can I purchase one of those kits
All you need is a fountain pump and some bowls and milk crates
Solar powered pump would be even better.
@@evlsc400 tru tru
Take a 5 gal bucket and place a solar powered water pump inside with a hose zip tied to the buckets lid w/ draining holes, drill 3″ holes for your seedlings in the side of the bucket, stack as many as you want, place caster wheels on the bottom bucket. Bucket= $4, Solar Pump= $15, Caster Wheels= $7, Pool Noodle= $1.50.
How many strawberry plants can one fit in it? Tia
My whole month salery will spent to buy this
